Our Story
Built for the kind of work most consultants avoid
Corvid Path was founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2017 by a group of advisors who had spent years inside large consulting engagements and repeatedly noticed the same gap: detailed analysis being handed to clients who had little time to act on it, or reports written more for the consultant's portfolio than for the business owner's understanding.
The name draws from the corvid family of birds — well known in behavioural science for their ability to recognise patterns, solve practical problems, and work with what is directly in front of them. That disposition shapes how we work. We focus on the particular situation of each client, resist the urge to apply generic frameworks, and write conclusions in language that a busy owner can read over coffee.
We are based in Bangsar and work primarily with privately held Malaysian businesses — family enterprises, founder-led companies, and partnerships navigating the kind of decisions that rarely come with a clear script. Our engagements are small in number by design, which means each client gets the full attention of a senior adviser rather than a hand-off to junior staff.
Our work spans three areas: organisational health diagnostics, revenue and profitability analysis, and exit or succession planning. Each engagement has a defined scope, a clear output, and a fee that is agreed before work begins.

Our Standards
How we hold ourselves accountable
Client Confidentiality
Every engagement is covered by a mutual NDA before any business information is shared. We treat client data with the same care we would expect for our own.
Transparent Agreements
Scope, timeline, and fees are written into an engagement letter and agreed before work begins. There are no adjustments mid-engagement without your express consent.
Senior-Led Delivery
All engagement work is led and reviewed by a senior adviser. There are no hand-offs to junior analysts. The person you meet at the start is the person who delivers your report.
Honest Findings
We do not tell clients what they want to hear. Our reports reflect what the evidence shows, including findings that may require difficult decisions.
Professional Memberships
Our team holds active memberships in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), maintaining current professional standards.
PDPA Compliance
All personal and business data collected during engagements is handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia.
Our Perspective
Business consulting that starts with listening
The Malaysian business environment has its own particular rhythms. Family ownership structures, multi-generational leadership transitions, complex stakeholder relationships, and the interplay between Bumiputera ownership policies and operational realities — these are not side details. They are often central to the decisions our clients are navigating.
A business health assessment in Kuala Lumpur requires a different lens than one conducted in London or Singapore. Corvid Path was built from within this context, and our work reflects it. We ask different questions, read different signals, and approach succession planning conversations with the cultural understanding that comes from having worked alongside Malaysian business families for nearly a decade.
Organisations that commission consulting work often have a general sense of where the problem lies. Our job is to confirm or complicate that picture with evidence, and to help leadership teams move from a vague concern to a specific course of action — one that they own and can act on without us in the room.
